چکیده
Abstract In laser-based powder bed fusion of metals (PBF-LB/M), residual oxygen in the processing atmosphere is regarded as disruptive and disadvantageous for manufacturing process resulting component properties. A novel approach to eliminate add small amounts silane argon gas. Silane eliminates forms SiO 2 nanoparticles, which turn can be incorporated into during process. It therefore necessary evaluate influence these nanoparticles admixed metal powder. this work, Ti-6Al-4V was modified with pyrogenic generated by reaction a gas mixture ambient air. Modified unmodified analyzed processed using statistically designed experiments. An improvement flow rate according DIN EN ISO 4490 (from 33.3 32.5 s/50 g) increase apparent density 3923 2.52 2.58 g/cm 3 ) could observed after modification. No significant effects modification on roughness, porosity, hardness were found. The results demonstrate that lead enhanced flowability without affecting PBF-LB window Ti-6Al-4V.

Laser powder bed fusion of Ti-6Al-4V parts: Thermal modeling and mechanical implications
A continuum-scale modeling approach is developed and employed with three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA), for simulating the temperature response of a Ti-6Al-4V, two-layered parallelepiped with dimensions of 10×5×0.06 mm during Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF), a metals additive manufacturing (AM) method. The model has been validated using experimental melt pool measurements from the l...

Laser cladding process was performed on a commercial Ti-6Al-4V (α + β) titanium alloy by means of tungsten carbide-nickel based alloy powder blend. Nd:YAG laser with a 2.2-KW continuous wave was used with coaxial jet nozzle coupled with a standard powder feeding system. Four-track deposition of a blended powder consisting of 60 wt % tungsten carbide (WC) and 40 wt % NiCrBSi was successfully mad...

A thin-wall structure composed of Ti-6Al-4V has been deposited using direct laser deposition (DLD) from blended Ti, Al, and V elemental powders. The microstructure and composition distribution along the build height direction were intensively investigated using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), and Vickers hardness testing. The micr...
متن کاملMicrostructure and Mechanical Behavior of Porous Ti–6Al–4V Processed by Spherical Powder Sintering
Reducing the stiffness of titanium is an important issue to improve the behavior of this material when working together with bone, which can be achieved by generating a porous structure. The aim of this research was to analyze the porosity and mechanical behavior of Ti-6Al-4V porous samples developed by spherical powder sintering. Four different microsphere sizes were sintered at temperatures r...
